The Dog Club of West Linn offers a safe, fun and stimulating social environment for your dog during your busy workweek or while you shop or run errands. Sealed rubber mats provide a resilient surface important for development, comfort and cleanliness. Our caring and professional daycare attendants supervise play at all times. Playing all day in our spacious climate-controlled playroom makes your dog calmer and easier to live with and it’s great exercise!

A Typical Day in Day Care - It’s a Dog’s Life!!

Arrival

For the safety of your dog and other dogs at the facility, we ask that you bring your dog in on a leash (even in the parking lot). This will allow you to have control of your dog in the event that you meet another dog. Once inside, a staff member will greet you and take your dog back to daycare. Your dog’s leash and/or harness will be placed in a pocket with your dog’s name on it.

Dog Fun

Your dog will enter the double gated area and may sometimes wait up to 20 minutes before entering the daycare area. This allows the dogs to get use to each other. Once your dog has entered the “pack”, he will be allowed to run and play all morning. The play area is equipped with jungle gyms and a variety of “dog approved” toys. We have two play areas available to accommodate various dog sizes and temperaments and careful consideration of playgroups will be determined periodically throughout the day. Automatic fresh water dispensers are located throughout the play area.

Dogs Gotta Go Too

A dog litter pan is provided for the dogs. Surprisingly enough, dogs learn to use the pan, but some may still relieve themselves in the play area. The attendant will quickly clean up the mess and disinfect the area with a mild solution.

Nap Time

At 1:00 PM, the lights go down and soft music will be played. Attendants will sit with the dogs to encourage naptime. Most dogs will just curl up somewhere and rest.  At 2:00, lights are turned back up and naptime is over. Playtime begins again!

Toy Test Division

The day care is actually the Toy Test Division of the world! Our highly skilled Dog Club members test the latest balls, tug toys, chew toys and flying discs for durability, chewablity and enjoyment because dogs just wanna have fun!!

Picking Up Your Dog

Our staff will greet you and check out your dog. They will go to daycare, attach your dog’s lead to your dog and bring him/her up front for you. You will receive a report card which tells you about your dog’s new friends and how much fun he/she had at The Dog Club of West Linn!
